MEA loan row - papers served

The long running investigation into the finances of the Manx Electricity Authority has reached the courts

Last week a huge amount of documentation and legal papers arrived at MEA headquarters from auditors KPMG.

Tynwald funded the company to look further into whether MEA loans taken allegedly via a subsidiary company, were conducted legally.

Chairman of the MEA, Eddie Teare MHK (pictured) says whilst the case will now be handled by the courts, the timescale for any action is far from certain:
