Programming spend increases

Spending on programming for Manx Radio will be increased in the next financial year.

So says Managing Director Anthony Pugh as the station posted a ?98,000 profit in the 12 months to the end of March, following a ?230,000 loss in the financial year 2004-2005.

The turnaround was achieved by re-aligning the business department, creating new opportunities for business clients and improving client care, along with careful control of the programming budget.

Mr Pugh says he hopes the station is now on a better footing, and whilst there is still a lot of work to do he's confident for the future:
