Abseiling for charity

by isleofman.com 3rd October 2006
A local woman is set to face her fear this weekend in aid of a worthy cause.

Janice Cull is going to abseil down the 200-foot sheer concrete of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital (centre picture) on Sunday.

It's to raise money for the St Paul's Eye Unit, where Janice has been receiving treatment for a diabetic eye condition for the past 15 years.

Janice will be one of 280 people taking part in the abseil and it's hoped the event will raise more than ?35,000.

She says the treatment she's received from St Paul's has been first class.
