Corkill trial decision

by isleofman.com 4th October 2006
It’s due to be known later today (Tuesday) if the Julie Corkill trial will continue.

Last Friday, key prosecution witness Will Kelly suffered an angina attack, two months after suffering a heart attack which led to proceedings being delayed.

Consultants are prepared for Kelly to continue giving his evidence once he is well enough.

This morning (Tuesday), High Bailiff Michael Moyle will decide whether the case can continue.

Mrs Corkill denies four counts of false accounting and two of claiming more than ?90,000 in tourism grants by deception.

Kelly admits a charge of aiding and abetting Mrs Corkill (pictured) to produce a document required by the Department of Tourism and Leisure.
