Check your passport

If you're planning on a trip abroad this autumn - check your passport is not out of date.

The Passport Office will be CLOSED for one working week between the 5th and 9th of October.

No passports will be issued during that time - and there will be NO facility for the issue of emergency passports.

The closure is so that new systems can be installed to produce biometric passports incorporating security features aimed at preventing identity fraud.

Chief Minister Donald Gelling says the message is - act now to avoid falling foul of the temporary closure of the Passport Office:
