Eastern Airways is celebrating after winning the European Regions Airline Association’s Gold Airline of the Year Award.
The airline was named Europe’s number one regional airline 2006/7, beating 65 other companies at an awards ceremony in Barcelona.
Eastern has 36 services a week from Ronaldsway Airport, and employs around 50 people in the Island as cabin crew, pilots and ground staff.
Among the factors considered by judges were its commercial and marketing strategy, finance, environment, operational efficiency and performance, product, customer service and industry representation.
