Lifeboat crews busy

Good weather and bright sunshine this summer may have led to a busier time for the Island’s lifeboat crews.

RNLI figures show its West Division, which includes the Isle of Man, had a record number of emergency callouts in June, July and August.

Alex Maddrell of Port St Mary lifeboat says the Island’s lifeboats have been kept very busy.

And he says it could be because more people were in the water in this year’s summer heatwave:
