Support for alcoholics

Another Isle of Man Government employee has backed the services available to alcoholics on the Island.

Social Worker Finbarr Murphy, from the Drug and Alcohol Team, says there's a lot of support out there for people who want to beat their addictions.

Last week a widower, whose wife died from her alcohol dependency, said not enough was being done to help Island residents with drink problems.

Mr Murphy says all the necessary contact details are available in the phone book, and there are other ways of finding out too:
