Memorial theft

by isleofman.com 26th September 2006
A memorial to a five year old girl killed in a road traffic accident last year was stolen some time between Friday evening and Monday morning.

Hanaa Sharpe died from a fractured skull in August 2005 after she was involved in a collision with a car as she crossed the road in Queen's Terrace in Douglas.

The wishing well, two seats and an integrated bench were taken from outside Tiny Tykes Nursery on Windsor Road.

Nursery owner Mary Lyons says it's disgraceful someone would steal a thing like this and wonders what use it would be to anybody.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Mary at Tiny Tykes on 628883.
