Seacat problems again

by isleofman.com 26th September 2006
The Steam Packet says a technical failure on the Seacat Express is"particularly galling"

The vessel, which has only recently returned to service on the Liverpool route following an extensive and thorough overhaul by contractors, had to be withdrawn from service this morning due to engine problems.

The fault was in equipment which had been supplied and maintained by a third party.

Steam Packet engineers are currently working on the problem, and it's hoped the Sea Express 1 will be able to return to service tomorrow (Tues 26th).

Passengers on today's Liverpool sailings are being transferred to the Ben my Chree sailings to Heysham with a coach transfer to Liverpool for foot passengers.
