New access at Noble's

A new access road to Nobles Hospital is being constructed.

Currently non-emergency cases are taken by ambulance to the main entrance of the building, although emergency admissions go straight to the A and E department.

However Health Minster Steve Road says they've been aware for some time that this was a less than ideal situation for the patients involved who are brought in through a very open area of the hospital in full view of the public.

He believes the new road will be a vast improvement:
