Bishop to meet ethnic committee

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2006
Attitudes in the Christian Church towards ethnic minorities will be investigated by a high level Anglican committee, which is due to arrive in the Island tomorrow (Monday).

The four members will be looking to give support to such individuals and provide advice on good practice, to avoid institutional racism within the organisation.

The committee will be here for a day and a half, and a busy itinerary will include meetings with the Bishop (pictured) and representatives from different denominations.

Our Religious Affairs correspondent, Judith Ley, will be reporting on the visit on Mandate on Tuesday morning.
