Manx school aid to Uganda

by isleofman.com 22nd September 2006
St Ninian's High School is aiming to turn a shack into a school in Africa.

Over the next ten months pupils are hoping to raise thirty-thousand pounds to build the school for 300 children.

The project's being run alongside the charity Abanna which wants to show young people how they can make a difference for those in need.

The charity's Managing Director, Scott Baxter, has been helping kick-start the fund-raising process.

He says he's been trying to motivate pupils for the months ahead.
