The Big Switch

The clamour for politicians and the public to act over climate change is heard almost daily.

Now a new campaign has been launched the Isle of Man urging each of us to 'do our bit' and change our habits for the long-term good of the environment.

It's called 'The Big Switch' - and could mean something as simple as turning-off appliances at night - or making one fewer car journey per week.


Cheryl Cousins is from the One World Centre at St John's, she says although the message has been heard many times before, people need to understand they CAN make a difference: (clip 1)

Campaigner "Mill" from the Permaculture Association says the majority of people are aware how their lifestyles affect the planet. So the message is simple - change them! (clip 2)
