Staff at Manx Family Services say they’re losing confidence and trust in the Department of Health and Social Security after five weeks of uncertainty about their future.

Workers in the Family Support Team say they’ve still heard nothing about whether they’ll transfer to a new employer when social services withdraws its MFS childcare contract.

Babs Bagley says the team has now written to Social Services to complain about the department’s silence.

But she’s warning the uncertainty is affecting staff morale and breeding a mistrust of the DHSS:
