MFS staff 'uncertain and angry'

A union boss is warning childcare staff morale could suffer unless the Department of Health and Social Security breaks its silence over their future.

Workers at Manx Family Services still haven’t heard about what will happen to them when the DHSS takes away the company’s contract.

Transport and General Workers Union regional organiser Bernard Moffatt says he’s tried to contact senior social services managers with no success.

He says staff are increasingly uncertain and angry because they don’t know if they’ll keep their jobs when a new company takes over:
