Citroen set on fire

Police are investigating an unusual incident in which hand tools were stolen from a car before it was set on fire.

The Citroen car was parked at the rear of Rushen Abbey last Thursday (14/09).

Police were called to the scene at 7.40am the next day when they found the vehicle completely burnt out.

A forensic examination of the vehicle has now been conducted.

Anyone who may have information on the incident, or has been offered any second hand tools for sale, or seen anyone using recently acquired second hand items is asked to contact Castletown police station on 832222.
