Dog fouling

Douglas residents have a vital role to play in ridding the town's streets of dog faeces.

That's according to Douglas Borough Council's Byelaws Enforcement Officer Neil Cringle.

Last week a woman was successfully prosecuted and fined for twice failing to pick up after her dog.

Mr Cringle says this was largely due to information provided by a member of the public and feels the setup is currently the most effective way of tackling the problem:
