Bishop shouldn't be in Tynwald

Representatives from three religious groups in the Island DON'T believe the Bishop (pictured) should have an unelected seat in Tynwald.

Speaking on yesterday's Sunday Opinion programme, the Head of the Methodist Church, Reverend Malcolm Peacock said it was his view that the role of religion should be in the life of the individual.

Carole Jempson, who is part of the Jewish community said she would be happier if the Bishop didn't have a vote.

Meanwhile, Andrew Smith from the Salvation Army said while he believes the Bishop shouldn't just be given a seat, at least there's a guaranteed Christian voice in parliament:
