Hope for 24-hour cover at Ramsey Cottage Hospital

The Treasury Minister, Ramsey MHK Allan Bell, says he’s optimistic 24 hour cover will be restored at Ramsey Cottage Hospital.

Residents in the north continue to voice their anger three years after the loss of overnight facilities.

And although Tynwald voted to re-introduce 24-hour services in March last year, the funds have not yet been found.

Mr Bell, whose department has provided a sufficient increase in funding for the DHSS, is hopeful the matter will be resolved (audio file attached):
