Clean-up the world!

Islanders will be asked again today (Sunday) to help clean up their local environment.

The move is part of the "Clean up the World" campaign which originated in Sydney, Australia

Zero Waste Mann is co-ordinating the initiative in the Island this weekend.

Chairman of the Litter Strategy steering committee for government, Dudley Butt MLC, says the scheme forms part of longer term effort to clean up the Island (audio file attached):

The Marine Conservation Society is also holding its annual Beach Watch litter survey around the Island’s coastline.
