Celtic League calls for action on population figures

The Celtic League has blasted the latest Isle of Man population figures.

Provisional numbers suggest almost 80,000 people were living here on census night in April.

But director of information, Bernard Moffatt, says the total is likely to be around 10,000 more and is warning of disastrous consequences of the influx of people.

He says the only ones benefiting from the growth are shady bankers, greedy developers and inept politicians and Manx people need to take action (audio file attached):
