Good turnout predicted

Chief Minister Donald Gelling is confident there will be a good turnout for the forthcoming general election, following steps taken by Tynwald.

A lack of public interest five years ago led to the formation of a committee which made a series of recomendations, among them an extension of voting hours and a lowering of the voting age.

Mr Gelling (pictured) believes the implementation of those suggestions will make a big difference:
