Changes to Brandish

by isleofman.com 13th September 2006
First it was Windy Corner – now it’s Brandish getting the Department of Transport makeover.

The DoT says improvement work will start next week at the corner, widening the road and making the bend more sweeping as well as adding a camber to it.

More than 3,500 vehicles a day pass through the corner and in the last three years the corner has become the Island’s worst accident blackspot.

But for TT riders, it’s a well-known landmark on the course. Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle (pictured) says it could mean faster lap times in time for next year’s centenary.
