Steam Packet medical emergency

by isleofman.com 13th September 2006
The SeaCat Sea Express One was forced to turned back yesterday (Tues) afternoon due to a medical emergency.

A passenger fell ill on board and the captain took the decision to head back to Douglas around half an hour into the voyage to Liverpool.

The sick man was taken to hospital by ambulance, and the vessel set out for Liverpool again a short time later.

A spokesman for the Steam Packet apologised for inconvenience to passengers but said these were circumstances outside the company’s control.
