Police probe resolved

by isleofman.com 12th September 2006
An investigation into the police’s response to a fatal accident has been internally resolved.

The probe was launched after a police officer was alleged to have travelled against the TT course following a collision, shortly before roads were due to close for the Manx Grand Prix.

The officer was trying to get to the scene of an accident at Gorse Lea in which 39 year-old marshal, Martin Heyes, was killed.

It's understood part of the investigation was to establish whether the roads were open or closed at the time.
