Strand 58 assault

by isleofman.com 11th September 2006
Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a member of security staff at Strand 58 pub in Douglas.

It happened at around 11pm on Saturday night (9th) when a man was seen to spit at the staff members several times and shout obscenities after being refused entry because he was drunk.

Police say it was a "disgusting assault" and Security staff should not have to tolerate such mindless behaviour.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to ring police headquarters on 631212.
