by isleofman.com 9th September 2006
Police inquiries are continuing into an armed robbery at a Chinese restaurant in Douglas last month.

A man was arrested and released on bail in connection with the incident at the Magic Wok Cantonese takeaway on Waverley Terrace.

A robber, whose face was disguised by a balaclava, entered the premises and forced the takeaway cashier to hand over cash from the till at gunpoint.

Anyone with information, or who was in the Waverley Terrace, York Road or Stanley Terrace area at the time, are being urged to come forward by contacting police on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
