Rescue in Ramsey today

If you see a body being dragged out of Ramsey Harbour today (Sunday), don't panic, it's only a dummy.

Isle of Man Coastguard, the lifeboat, police and ambulance services are taking part in a joint rescue exercise, which starts at 12 noon.

The Coastguard's north and west sector manager, Michael MacDonald, says it also gives the service a chance to try out new equipment.

He said it will make the previously difficult task of getting someone out of the harbour much easier (audio file attached):
