Care workers fear for jobs

Job adverts for care staff have led to fears staff from Manx Family Services will have to re-apply for their old jobs. Transport and General Workers Union regional organiser Bernard Moffatt says when the DHSS ended its contract with MFS, it said staff would transfer to St Christopher’s – the new company running the Island’s care provision for children. But St Christopher’s has begun advertising for staff, and Mr Moffatt says this has led to staff questioning whether they’ll keep their jobs during the transfer. He’s asking for clarification from the DHSS and St Christopher’s (audio file attached):
