Second part of Manx history launched

It's been a mammoth task and a labour of love, but it's finally in print!

The latest work on compiling a definitive History of the Isle of Man is now complete.

A huge team of researchers and authors, both amateur and professional, have contributed to the project.

And Wednesday night saw the launch of a second volume of the five part New History of the Isle of Man.

This one deals with the Island's geology, from 500 million years ago to the present day.

Editors Dr Richard Chiverrell and Dr Geoff Thomas from the University of Liverpool say it's readable and relevant, as it deals with many current issues (audio file attached):
