Next government to look at Summerland site

Tourism and Leisure Minister David Cretney says the future of the Summerland site will be decided by the next government.

Demolition of the building began in October last year, and it's hoped it will be completed once access has been gained to the gardens above.

Plans were taken to Tynwald for a hotel and ice rink, but the potential development fell through.

Mr Cretney would like the site to be used for leisure purposes, but other options include a car park for a park and ride facility:
