Sex offences dropped

by isleofman.com 7th September 2006
Three men accused of attempted rape, unlawful sexual intercourse and inciting a person under the age of 16 to commit acts of gross indecency have had all the charges against them withdrawn.

Forty-four year old John Wesley Stanley Kneen, of Queen Street, Douglas; 47 year old Thomas William Herbert Kneen, of Heather Crescent, Pulrose; and John Reginald Joseph Gibson, also 47, of Laburnum Road Pulrose had faced a total of 61charges.

Linda Watt, prosecuting, told the court the charges had been dropped because the alleged victim had withdrawn her statement of complaint.
