A member of the Island’s newest political party, Liberal Vannin, has announced he will be standing in Garff in November’s election.
Nigel Dobson is a director of the company that runs the Liverpool Arms in Onchan and the Niarbyl Cafe.
Mr Dobson is a past president of the Rotary Club of Onchan and says he wants more accountability in government for the Legislative Council to be popularly elected.
He says he wants the Liberal Vannin party to provide effective opposition to the Council of Ministers.
