New chief at DoLGE

The new Chief Executive of the Department of Local Government and Environment says he will be doing his research into challenging areas such as public sector housing and waste management.

Ken Kinrade will take over the role in November, following the retirement of Anthony Hamilton.

Mr Kinrade, currently the Chief Officer of Trading Standards, joined the Civil Service in 1971 and hopes his years of experience in regulatory matters will stand him in good stead:
