TT Centenary - no clash

by isleofman.com 10th August 2006
‘Minister of fun’ David Cretney says he’s celebrating the announcement that next year’s TT will not clash with a British Superbikes meet.

In the past, talks to avoid having the two events overlapping have ended in failure, but Superbikes chief boss Stuart Higgs announced yesterday the event will avoid clashing with the Centenary TT festival.

Mr Cretney says the decision will be to the benefit of both parties as bikers will not have to pick and choose between them.

And he says he’s very pleased to have reached an agreement.
