Viola competition threatened by terror alerts

Organisers of the Isle of Man's international viola competition say the event will go ahead, despite the restrictions competitors will face at airports.

More than 100 people from 32 nations are taking part in the week-long Lionel Tertis competition which is due to start on Saturday.

Dr John Bethell says participants will not be happy at the prospect of leaving their instruments in the hold of aircrafts.

He says many are trying to alter their plans and travel over by boat:
