Gosling appeal continuing

by isleofman.com 27th July 2006
An appeal against the leniency of the sentence given to a Ramsey woman who killed her boyfriend is continuing at Douglas courthouse this afternoon (Thursday).

In April, 50 year-old Ann Marie Gosling admitted the manslaughter of her boyfriend, Peter Roy Ormiston, due to diminished responsibility.

She was jailed for four and a half years but could be released, under licence, as soon as January 2007.

The hearing was adjourned on Saturday to allow a legal point to be cleared up, relating to treatment Gosling may receive in a psychiatric hospital, after completing her prison sentence.
