Roly Alden leaves CEO role at Bank of Ireland

Roly Alden is to retire as Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ireland (I.O.M.) Limited, at the end of the month. A statement from the firm says he will continue to serve as a non-executive director of the company. He will be succeeded by Michael McKay, who was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Bank of Ireland (I.O.M.) Limited at the beginning of this year. The firm says that Brendan Kerin, Head of Business and Retail Banking of the UK Financial Services Division of Bank of Ireland, has assumed the responsibility for the sales focus of the offshore business. Roly Alden spent over 38 years as a career banker with Barclays Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, and since 2000 with Bank of Ireland.
