Bolivian talk

by isleofman.com 9th March 2006
The leader of a organisation which supports marginalised people in one of the poorest countries in South America will give a talk at Tynwald Mills tonight.

Carmina Garcia is the director of CIPCA.

The group aims to teach indigenous farmers about using methods of sustainable production and encourage and help people to use their vote.

Bolivia has a population of around 9 million, many of whom live below the poverty line.

Through her interpreter Regina, Carmina told Manx Radio people are always surprised when they hear about the conditions in her country:

The talk is at Tynwald Mills (pictured) tonight at 7.30, and admission is free.
