Farming needs subsidy

Manx farming can't survive without subsidies.

That's the view of Chairman of the Manx National Farmers Union Howard Quayle, who says that could only happen if they were working on an even playing field with other countries.

Mr Quayle was speaking after Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne said there's a limit as to what government can do to help the industry financially.
