No mail, but some buses run

by Isle of Man Listing Owner 4th March 2006
Saturday's mail deliveries and collections, and air mail services, were cancelled because of the weather. The newspapers were expected to be at all newsagents by lunchtime. They were 45 minutes late at the wholesalers, after some delivery vans became stuck or delayed in the snow. A reduced bus service ran from 10.00am on Saturday, although all the main routes, from Douglas to the north, south and west, were operating normally. Passengers also travelled on the Onchan route and the various services around the capital. (Picture: Snow on Douglas Head road on Saturday).
