Key man in Icelandic Foreign Ministry to speak on the Island.

THE man responsible for running Iceland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of Euroclub in a weeks time. As Permanent Secretary of State, His Excellency Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson is the highest-ranking civil servant in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, which advises the Icelandic Government on all aspects of foreign policy. He will be speaking to Euroclub on Thursday March 9 at the Mount Murray Hotel (6.30pm for 7pm). Euroclub chairman Chief Minister Donald Gelling MLC commented: ‘We are indeed privileged to host such a distinguished guest from a country that has much in common with our Island.
