Gerrard third in National Cross Country Championships

Keith Gerrard failed to retain his National Junior title on Saturday at the English Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill in London on Saturday.

He finished an excellent third position out of 177 finishers.

Other Manx Harriers Lee Butterworth and Andrew Newton came 116th and 118th respectively in the under 17 race out of 282.

In the Senior race the highest placed Manx Harrier in the field of 1290 was John Halligan in 121st, with Darren Gray in 273rd, Andy Fox in 301st, Dave Newton was 586th and Nick Percival 901st.
