An opportunity to hear voices this Christmas

by isleofman.com 4th December 2012

The Henry Bloom Noble Library would like a word with you this Christmas. Quite a few words, in fact.

It’s arranged an evening of Christmas-themed poetry and prose from performance group Voices, which members Linda Mann, Lisa Creighton and Howard and Chris Caine are billing as ‘a light-hearted look at Christmas’.

The four will be reading from a range of books including ‘The Night Before Christmas’, ‘The Virgin Lover’, ‘Doctor at Sea’ and, unsurprisingly, ‘A Christmas Carol’. Additionally it’s hoped members of the audience will bring along their own Christmas favourites to share them on the evening.

Christmas in Poetry and Prose will be on Wednesday December 12th starting at 7.30pm and is expected to finish around 9pm. Complementary festive refreshments will be provided and free tickets are available in advance from the ground floor counter at the library.
