Equiom Aviation will be attending the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) event taking place in Dubai from 11th to 13th December 2012.
Steve Cain (VAT Director), Ali Stennett (Tax Director) and Captain John Hills (Aviation Consultant) will represent Equiom in Dubai to showcase their Aviation service offering which includes the establishment and management of ownership structures and multi-jurisdictional VAT, tax and registration services.
Steve Cain speaking ahead of the event commented; “The Middle East is still a strong growth sector for business jets – and as such MEBA is a key platform for us to network and gain new business opportunities in this region. Our presence will be high profile at this event as we will be co-exhibiting on the Isle of Man Aviation Services stand to showcase the Island as the jurisdiction of choice for business jets.”
The strength of the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry which has grown rapidly since its inception in 2007 is part of the reason why this sector is flourishing for the Island. Recent accolades including, being voted best registry by leading global aviation lawyers, have helped to present the Isle of Man as a first class award winning business centre that provides competitive rates, high levels of service and innovative solutions.
Innovation is a key part of Equiom’s continued success and they have also developed a strong global presence in the business aviation market place. In-house expertise on VAT, tax and aviation issues and proven capability through their customised structures has attributed to this success. Steve Cain is best known for his entrepreneurial approach to VAT solutions for yachts and aircraft, and is a member of the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) VAT Focus Group, formed earlier this year, with the key aims being, to discuss the issues of EU harmonization, provide practical VAT guides and to educate the market.
On a final note Steve Cain added; “Key industry topics will also be on the agenda at MEBA - such as the final phase of the “Place of Supply” VAT regulations, due to come into force in January 2013, where long term hire of means of transport could result in a change to some existing ownership structures.”
