IAM backs MOTs, but says much more must be done

The Island branch of the Institute of Advanced Motorists says it welcomes plans to introduce an MOT-style test here.

The Department of Infrastructure is looking at the possibility of bringing one in.

Chris Roughley of the IAM says the group is in favour of anything which improves road safety.

But he says much more than that needs to be done:
