Medieval Christmas spirit at Castle Rushen

A medieval-style Christmas celebration is being staged at Castle Rushen this weekend and everyone's invited!

Lord Stanley himself will be holding court, surrounded by his subjects and traditional decorations. 

Music and drama from the period will entertain guests and special activities are planned for chidlren, offering scope to learn all about the winter festival in medieval times.

Site supervisor for Manx National Heritage Jackie Sloane says visitors will have the chance to experience life in a medieval court for themselves:
