Aviation structuring specialist, Katherine Ellis, will be announcing the forthcoming launch of local financial services group, Boston’s aviation administration services at the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) event in Dubai from 11-13 December 2012.
Boston Group provides services to the business and private aviation industry through offices in both the Isle of Man and Malta. The Isle of Man is synonymous with business aviation thanks to the huge success of the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry (M Register), while Malta is fast becoming a European hub for aviation business, in particular private aviation. This is due to its attractive regulatory and fiscal framework and its recent announcement concerning the VAT treatment of aircraft leasing arrangements. This combination, coupled with Katherine’s access to an extensive international network of industry leaders, is testament to the Island business sector’s ability to increase engagement and co-operation with jurisdictional counterparts for mutual benefit where opportunity arises. A development of this nature also highlights to the international industry the remarkable success of the Island as centre of excellence in the yachting and aviation industries and further enhances the global reputation of Isle of Man PLC.
Katherine Ellis, Director, commented on the launch: “I’m very excited to be attending MEBA on behalf of Boston Group and that we are using this key event in the business aviation calendar as a platform to launch our services to the industry. We have a wealth of industry knowledge in both our Isle of Man and Malta offices, including VAT planning, corporate structuring, aircraft registration and administration, and we believe we are ideally placed to offer these services to internationally based private and business aircraft owners. The Isle of Man “M register” has seen exponential growth since its establishment in 2007 and we are proud to be able to support the Government by working with Hartley Elder, Director of Civil Aviation, and his team to continue to grow this important area of the Island’s business.”
