Gerrard part of GB success

by isleofman.com 10th December 2012

Manx athlete Keith Gerrard finished in 59th place as part of a strong Great Britain Cross-country team contesting the Spar European Cross-country championships.

Gerrard returned from Budapest with a medal after Great Britain topped the overall table in Hungary for a fifth year in a row.

Five British men finished in the top-20 on a course covered by frozen snow, while all six British athletes were inside the top 33 as Ireland's Fionnuala Britton retained her individual title in the women's race.
